Neri Taalolo Faamaligi Moevao, 47, of Hilo died March 23, 2013, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in American Samoa, he was a community outreach worker for Neighborhood Place of Puna, substitute teacher for the state Department of Education, co-owner of Triple Threat Fights, a volunteer boxing judge, MMA trainer and matchmaker.

Friends may call at 10 a.m. April 6 at the Queen Liliuokalani Park in Hilo for a celebration of his lif. Another celebration of his life will take place at 10 a.m. April 13 at the Waimanalo Beach Park Pavilion on Oahu. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by wife, Lovina Moevao of Hilo; daughter, Nerissa Moevao of Hilo; stepsons, Keelan Garcia and Loran Colon, both of Oahu; sister, Fualilia (Siala) Taito of Oahu; five grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
